Will of Richard Arrenton

"In the name of good amen I Richard Arrenton of the County of
Perquimans & State of North Carolina being sick in body, but of
sound & desposing mind & memory do make & ordain this my last will &
testement in Manner & form following that is to say, I desire that
all my Just Debts & funeral Expences be paid & dicharged by my
Executors herafter named I give unto my Daughter Penelope Arrenton 1
Cow.  I give unto my Daughter Nancy Arrenton 1 heifer.  I also give
to my Daughter Abigael Arrenton 1 heifer calf.  Wit my desire that
my Loving wife Susannah Arrenton should have the use of all
remainder Part of my Estate during her natural life & after her
death, to be equally divided between my Son Ezekiel Arenton (this
Ezekiel I) & my Daughters Penelope, Nance & Abigail & my son William
- I likewise give to my son Robert Arenton the sum of five shillings
currency of this State.  I also give unto my son Fredrick Arrenton
five shillings currency of this state -- Lastly I do make constitute
& appoint my friends Joseph White & Isaac White Executors to this my
last will and Testament.  In witness where of I have here unto set
my hand & seal this 22nd day of October 1794.

County   } The four going will was proved in open Court by the oath
