In the name of god amen, I William Arrenton senr of this county of
Perquimans being this 29th of January in Ear of our Lord one
thousand Eight Hundred and Six being of perfect mind and memory but
Epheminate of body call to mind that man was born once to dy and as
it hath pleased god to possess me with Sum Little property,
detesting all others, make this my last Will in the above Mentioned
name.
1st I recommend my Soul to almity god who first gave it me and my
body to the Grave to buried at the Discretion of my freind and
Executors Expence of which with my Just Debts to be paid out of the
Sales of my perrishable property which sale will take place at my
deced.
Item 1st I give unto my Sun Thomas Arrentons Sun Henderson one
Hundred and Sixty Acres of land known by the name of Sumner Land if
he attain to the age of manhood or leave Lawful heirs if not to
devote to Thomas Arrentons Children Jenerally.
Item 2nd I give unto my Sun Thomas Arrenton al the Land belonging to
my manner plantation, Reserving for the use of Cultivation to my Sun
John Arrenton as much of which as he may Chose to Til.
3rd I give unto my Sun Thomas Arrentons children Jinerly One Negroe
name Bob and on Feather bed & firniture
4th I give unto my Daughter Deborah Arrenton tow Feather Beds &
firniture One Mahogany Desk one walnut Table one mare Cald Pol, four
Cows & Calves one Jinnen wheel one Set tea Cups & sausers and two
Iron potts.
5th I give unto my Daughter Sary Creecy one Negroe named Providence
6th I give my daughter Elizabeth Jackson one Negroe boy Peter
7th I give unto my daughter Mary Jackson One Negroe woman Sary,
8th I Desire one Negroe named Isam be Sold by my Executors and the
mones arising Therefrom to be apropriated to the maintenance of my
Sun John Arrenton
9th I give to my Sun John Arrenton one Sow and pigs and one Feather
Bed and ferniture Cows and Yearlings
10th I give to my Sun Thomas Arrentons Children Jinerally One Negroe
woman named Any one Negroe boy named Luke and on Negroe boy named
Ventes
11th I give to my Sun William Arrenton Twenty five acres of land
adjoining the Stafford percoson Land
12th Except one negro girl named Rachel I Desire all my property not
heretofore in this will Disposed of to be sold and after paying my
Just Debts and Funeral Charges to be Eaqually divided amons Sary
Creecy John arrenton Elizabeth Jackson Anne Goodwin Mary Jackson
Deborough Arrenton and Thomas Arrenton & Millsent Long and lastly I
nominat my well beloved freind William Arrenton Josph Jackson to
Execute and Carry into force this my last will and Testament this
day and date above written.
